This place is so legit! The view was amazing, great service and excellent food. If you are in PCB do yourself and favor and check it out. If there is a long line to put your name in don't be fooled, there was 20 ppl deep in line at host stand and we got seated in 15 minutes at prime dinner time. Got the special cajun Swordfish with plump shrimp and some sauce I can't remember, it was amazing.

We tried Runaway island the first night in town. The Creamy Rockefeller Spinach Dip was amazing. We wanted to go back all week just to eat more dip! My fiancé and I shared the Big Kahuna Platter. It was good, however, I wished we would have tried other unique things after trying the dip. The patio was loud and busy but a great view of the beach. On the night we were there, a wedding was taking place until a down pour occurred.

I am a sucker for beach food as is, but this was absolutely delicious! We started off with the Baja Rolls as an appetizer. They had a slight hint of spice to them and were served with a sweet chili dip which gave the perfect mix of sweet & spicy! These were crispy on the outside and melty on the inside! My husband and I split the Parmesan Crusted Grouper and the crap cakes. The crab cakes were heavy and full of crab meat. It was the perfect balance of sauce, crab, and breading! The grouper was sweet and they didn't over bread the fish. Our service was fantastic and we were greeted with kindness and excellence from the beginning to the end of our journey. The building was beautiful for watching the sun go down and really getting a beach feel. Give them a try!!

We came out here while on vacation to get some seafood and enjoy the scenery. We really enjoyed it, as did our kids. They had live music playing, and our kids ate that up while we waited for our food. After dinner, we went out to the beach via their walkway and took some pictures. It was a very pleasant atmosphere, and I could definitely see us coming back here again. The food itself was good as well. I got the blackened shrimp basket, and my wife got the grilled shrimp basket. We liked both, and even had some to take back to our condo we were staying at for the next day. Our daughter liked her cheeseburger as well, but I think both kids ended up snacking on our shrimp since they were so good.

Great spot on beach to enjoy music, food, beverages and beach views. Best bartenders in PCB - Go Bri & Go Chanel!

Runaway Island in Panama City Beach is a gem! My family of five had an amazing dining experience here. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with the added bonus of live music that enhances the beachfront vibe. Both indoor and outdoor seating options allow you to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf no matter where you sit. The food was outstanding. We started with pretzel bites and handmade cheese curds, which were absolutely delicious. For dinner, the Alaskan king crab legs were a highlight, offering great taste at a decent price. The blackened grouper dinner with crab meat was simply fantastic--cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. While my wife found her fish tacos a bit lacking in fish and flavor, and the chicken sandwich wasn't to our liking, the overall meal was still very enjoyable. The kids' chicken tenders were exactly what you'd expect, satisfying their simpler tastes. Despite a couple of minor hiccups, Runaway Island impressed us with its upbeat atmosphere, stunning views, and exceptional food. It's a great spot for a memorable family meal on the beach. One final note...Our server was fantastic!

On my visit to Runaway Island I'm giving it 4 stars. The menu was limited due to kitchen being redone I believe, but what was on the menu looked good. I started with the Baja Rolls that came out piping hot. It came with a sweet and sour sauce I believe, but I didn't use it. I thought they were good out it. The shrimp tacos were really good and not greasy. I got French fries with mine which were room temperature to cool. I didn't say anything and ate them because I was pretty hungry. Service: our waiter was good and checked in on us a lot. Ambience- sat outside and had a great view of the beach. Wish the weather was warmer, but what can you do ? Would definitely go back when in town and hopefully their full menu will be available.
